When yoga is mentioned a typical man's response is 'I'm to tight to do yoga' or they say, 'I should do yoga, but I don't'. There seems to be this awkward not knowing how to get involved, what's yoga about, nervous about being a beginner, that keeps most men from ever trying yoga. Or they do go to a yoga class and indeed there are a lot of flexible young women and they feel out of place. Very often we join yoga classes at the gym, doing yoga postures without detailed understanding of the alignment or basic yoga principles.
This in-depth beginners classes are designed to provide a basic understanding of yoga and is suitable for individual keen to move your body in new ways exploring the connection between their mind, body and spirit
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Introduction to the Level 1 syllabus, including the Foundation and Basic Form of the poses
- Introduction to the general principles of alignment for the major classes of poses
- Learn three basic Breathing techniques for deeper relaxation
- How to use Yoga props ( blocks, straps)
A 75 minutes class incorporating strength, balance, and flexibility- stimulating the mind and restoring the body.
