Sept 27th - Another message from Tracy at BCCR

Hello everyone!

By now you should have received our post card announcing the PALS Project here at BCCR and our email! If you haven’t heard about PALS and if you haven’t yet sent in your PALS mentor application, here are the details:

The purpose of PALS, or Peer Advocates Lending Support, is to provide peer support to those who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer, to provide information about available community resources, to provide comfort items during what we know can be an overwhelming period, and to provide opportunities in a vibrant, established breast cancer community at the Breast Cancer Coalition!

If you are interested in serving as a volunteer peer mentor with our PALS Project, please fill out the attached application and send it back to me at tracy@bccr.org, or print it out, fill it in, and mail to our office at BCCR, 840 University Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607. The first PALS mentor training is scheduled for Saturday morning, Sept. 27, and we would love to have you join us – but we need to know that you are coming!
