Sept 26th deadline - Take part in BCCR artwork

Good afternoon, everyone!

We have something amazing planned for our front yard here at the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester (BCCR), located at 840 University Avenue. Local artist Zanne Brunner will be wrapping two of our trees out front with strips of cloth in order to create a beautiful display in front of BCCR just in time for October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Do you want to be a part of this artwork?

We are accepting donations of personal fabric and other little mementos (such as an earring, etc.) that you would like to provide as materials for this project. Items will not be returned, of course, and fabric will be torn into strips. Perhaps you have a pretty blanket to give, or a special shirt that you used to wear, but no longer do. Maybe only one earring of a pair. or a pin that you once wore but have since retired it to your jewelry box.

Please note, fabric items would ideally be one of these colors: reds, pinks, purples, magentas, violets, lavenders, lime green, cobalt blue.

If you would like to participate in the project, you must drop off your materials/items at BCCR no later than 2:00pm, Friday, September 26, 2008. We will not accept donations after the deadline as the artist will be in possession of "our materials" and we will not be able to forward late arrivals to her.

We hope that you will join us here at BCCR as we blend human hands with nature's and create something magical for all to enjoy this October!
