July MeetUp at Color Me Mine

Back by poplular demand!!! Our July Meetup will be a fun and perhaps therapeutic endeavor, in an artistic forum. No talent necessary; just a little adventure.

Color Me Mine is a great place where you paint [under-glaze] pottery and ceramics. They supply a number of different color glazes to use, tools, "masking," stamps, stencils. There are samples all around the store for ideas and inspiration, and instruction keys you can borrow to explain the steps in the various special techniques, if you wish to try them. Lynn and the young ladies there are very nice and kind, and willing to offer as much or as little help as you desire. They even do things FOR you. The pieces of bisque [white fired clay items] vary from large to tiny. Trays and water pitchers, to mugs and bowls, to tiles, interior decor, personal hair accessories, drawer knobs, switch plates, figurines and holiday decorations. They make great gifts for close friends, moms, and the other really special people in your life. Kids who craft, friends are welcome, too. I like to get there early to look at all the options, and choose.

The rate for this special Pajama nite is $1 plus the cost of the bisque item you choose... BUT YOU MUST ARRIVE IN PJ'S IN ORDER TO HAVE THIS SPECIAL RATE!! You have until 9 pm to finish your masterpiece. Hopefully we will be there 5 pm until 7 - 7:30 pm.

Pittsford Plaza is on Route 31 [Monroe Ave] between Clover St and French Rd. You can get there by the expressway 590, the closest exit being Exit 2 or 2A, 2B. Take Monroe East or South from 590, to get to the Plaza.

CMM - [masked] - is located next to Benucci's in the Pittsford Plaza in the "corner" at the far left in the Plaza. Across the street from Pittsford Colony.
