RTanque

A little more laid back than months past.

Just install RTanque, code a tank, and compete with others. Regular networking and hanging as always will happen.

If you're a newbie this is a good opportunity to learn more about Ruby programming in a fun and entertaining environment.

RTanque was a lot of fun, great idea Ben! Looking forward to bringing this in as an internal monthly programming challenge @ work.

Shameless thanks to Clio for sponsoring the beer and pizza. PS we are hiring in Calgary :)

I've been too busy with a new job to read up on RTanque. Is it still worth coming?

Ditto, I'll be installing it at the meetup.

It's surprisingly fun to code an RTanque. I'm really looking forward to it. That being said, you can totally code one at the event and then tweak as needed.

Too bad, was looking forward to this one, but can't make it this time.

Hey folks! Some quick notes about RTanque if you're trying to get an install going and having problems (especially on OSX). You must use the default Apple XCode 4+ toolchain with Ruby 2.0.0-p(X).

There are problems with Ruby 2.1 and other GCC versions. Also probably a good idea to put your Tanque's on Github or Bitbucket if you plan on going head to head with others.

Drop me a line if you experience any problems.

    See you tomorrow!

I'll see if I can lock down a sponsor for the beer at Assembly, would Clio be interested Tys?

Yup! Mind emailing myself and Simon (should have our emails) with details on what is involved w/ sponsoring beer at Assembly?

Can we do this at a pub? It sounds like a good drinking game.

You know me, and I'm not opposed to this at all. We'll wait and see who attends, I don't want to cut someone out if they're young/first time. Know what I mean?
