Carton Brewing Beer Sample & Tour

Carton Brewing is a local micro-brewery that gives a tasting of 6 different beers on tap (They have a total of 8, you can usually choose any of the 7 or 8 they have available). It's a nice cozy and inviting area with out-of-the-box beer that goes beyond the traditional beers you've tasted before. So join me and your other Friends in the Burbs for a place that Yelp reviewers have given 5/5 stars! I'm a regular and would love nothing more than to have others join in the fun as well. Located in beautiful Atlantic Highlands, this brewery is the perfect Saturday afternoon locale for some beer tasting & great conversation!

A tasting of 6 beers plus the tour only amounts to $5. If you have any growlers to fill up or want to purchase one, that incurs an additional cost.

I just wish this place had more seating. Great way to spend a Sunday that doesn't quite feel like spring.

I really wanted to go, but I got pulled into a last minute family lunch. They had cancelled the lunch earlier today and I just got a call that lunch ideas still happening. I will see if I can leave early n come by the brewery later on.

The GORP Beer will be released a week before, so we'll be able to try this on the 23rd. It's a nice 8.4% with this as the following description:

"With GORP beer, we evoke recollections of fun and flavors of the trails by adding peanuts and chocolate to a robust porter base that is then fermented on black raisins. Drink GORP because it is fun to take the mix off the trail."

I tried GORP last night at the Point Beach fest, was pretty good, but that was only a 2oz. sample ;)

Hello fellow "Friends in the Burbs"... or "Burbians"... or whatever we call ourselves. Tomorrow I will more than likely be there a few minutes earlier to make sure everyone has an easy time finding the place.

#1: If you've never been there, the building is a very non-descript place. You won't see a sign to it. But trust me, it's there. It's pretty much a giant orange firehouse type building and it's directly across from a school on that street.

#2: We are going early enough that hopefully parking won't be an issue. There is a fitness place right next door that has parking that can be used for the brewery, they allow it.

#3: Before going up to the "bar area", everyone has to take a tour. There are no set tour times, it's whenever you walk in. Hopefully anyone not there at 1 PM, can do the tour and then come up. I'll gladly do the tour with anyone who comes later and wants to take it.

My number is[masked]-7956. So text/call if you need to update me about anything!

    See you all there!

Changed the date. Gives people a little more time to think about it. Football season will be over and the weather a bit nicer.
