Beach Vinyasa Flow + Core Level 1

Hello Beach Yogis!  We are back!

Join us for a smooth Vinyasa Flow + Core Yoga class on Ledbetter Beach.

We will start with a breathing exercise, synchronizing our breath with the surf, then move into sun salutations to warm up the body.  We'll introduce some core movements to tighten and tone the abs and then build into our peak of heat with some challenging moves.  Then we'll wind things down to center and ground our energy and close with a final breathing exercise.

This is a class for all levels, with modifications available for your level.

What to bring:

• Yoga Mat

• Blocks if you have them and are comfortable working with them

• Towel + maybe an old towel for under your mat to keep it a bit cleaner

• Sunscreen

• Layered (warm) clothing if the fog doesn't burn off or there's a breeze

• Sunglasses

• Water

• Donation

About your teacher:

David has been practicing yoga for 3 years in the Hatha tradition, and has a regular practice with Vinyasa Flow and Power Yoga.  David started practicing yoga to rehabilitate from a back injury and found the practice had benefits beyond healing the physical body.  His practices are focused on breath and proper alignment and adding a positive and uplifting element to your day.  David completed 200 hr YRT his teacher training with Yoga Works under the instruction of Eka Ekong.

Donation Based class: $10 suggested donation,  Visa/MC, Paypal, Bitcoin, Currency, Coffee, Wine or nice IPA are all appropriate donations :-)

Great idea for a yoga meetup, beautiful lactation. The class was unfortunately disjointed and had minor mistakes upsetting the flow, like "warrior one" being executed as high lunge by the instructor. Events like this in the future would benefit from a pre planned lesson with smooth transitions, as well as being receptive to what people in the class are feeling and what they are resisting - resisting may not be a function of needing more development, rather, it might demonstrate that the energy wasnt there to flow into that challenging pose to begin with.

For me, even though location was beautiful I would have enjoyed being a little further away from the water which would have helped to cut down on the million sand flies/fleas or whatever they were there were tons

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
