The purpose of our study group is to gain further insight on the teachings of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, an essential text on yoga and meditation, as a spiritual exercise. We begin with a short meditation and then discuss each sutra individually, translating them from Sanskrit. This group is for people with varying levels of experience with the sutras and meditation, from the beginner, to those who are more familiar with the subjects. We meet regularly and meetups are posted on the group bulletin board as they are scheduled. Our North Austin meetup location is sent to members who RSVP for meetups. Yoga Sutras of Patanjali meetups are always free of charge. Occasionally, we also promote yoga-related workshops and lectures at event locations in Austin. Tuition for those events is listed appropriately.
