YoGeek 101: Laying the Groundwork For Your Yoga Practice

"What's updog?"  "Not much, what's up with you?"

No, SERIOUSLY. Updog?  Downdog?  That thing where you tangle your limbs up and try not to fall over?

Maybe you've been thinking about trying yoga, but don't know where to begin.  Maybe you've felt like yoga studios are intimidating places full of people who don't look like you. Or maybe you've been practicing for a while but you're interested in working on form and alignment.  Any of that ring a bell?  If so, come out to the YQdio on Monday nights for YoGeek 101, with our very own Jenny, Warrior Princess.

YoGeek 101 will help answer your questions, and provide a stronger foundation for your yoga practice.  Each week, we'll use our warmup and practice to prepare us to get the most out of that week's focus pose, with a special emphasis on making yoga accessible to everybody.  So whether you're a total noob, or a more experienced yogi ready to explore yoga more deeply, YoGeek 101 is meant for you.  And you.  And you over there, the one with the Star Trek yoga pants.

Jenny has been practicing with YogaQuest since it began in 2011.  In addition to over three years of practical knowledge, she is currently undergoing her 200 hour yoga teacher training through Curvy Yoga. She's passionate about yoga, body positivity, and Xena.  Her nerdiness is the stuff of legend, and her courage will change the world.
