Shaking Free - Ecstatic/Shamanic Transformational Dance Process

A meditation process including active and varied use of our body, mind, emotions, ending in the heart, with Viryam Robertson. Our previous "Shake, Dance, Meditate Session" has been re-modelled and it is now a monthly introduction (each second Friday) to many aspects of beginning Tantric and/or Shamanic practice using techniques focussed on your own experiencing of yourself. These may include shaking, yoga movements, expression and dance, which we will each have a varying degree of familiarity with..!

Prior experience is not necessary.

The body holds an amazing amount of wisdom. Each cell has a memory of this wisdom and, if we allow it, knows how it wants to move in each and every moment... It is both a MOVING and a STILL meditaton ... A place to come and find what is true for you by closing your eyes, “going inside” and being absolutely present... By using the body as a gateway to being, we come into the silence of our hearts and discover that peace is our true nature.

The meditation includes both clearly-specified and freer-form parts, that latter allowing a surrender to whatever is present for you. You may find that chaotic wild place within you even through the spacious stillness. Your experience will always be uniquely healing, the process carrying us each into a space of wholeness and holiness.

There are a number of parts to our Meditation evening, using a variety of Yoga, Tantra and Shamanic techniques, so or all of which may be used in a particular session:

ASANA - preparing the entire body through a wide range of movements

SHAKING - allowing the body to vibrate, releasing tension and letting go of thoughts, opening up the energy-centres so that kundalini or life-force can rise, de-stress and refresh you!

EMOTIONAL RELEASE TOOLS - allowing the expression of feeling

DANCE – surrendering to the music, allowing the body to be an empty vessel filled with breath, dancing the divine.

SITTING MEDITATION – simply sitting and becoming a witness to the movement of energy and/or the presence of stillness inside.

Our overall aim is to create an intimate vibe so that we can each connect with our deepest nature – please join us for TEA at the end!

No need to book, but it is preferred. You can also advise by text. If you just turn up, please be on time! Bring a friend or two if you wish!

$25, $20 concession (suggested koha)
