Groundhog Day Brunch Ride

Weather forecast for milder temps should give us some relief for Sunday. Ride from Glen Rock to the Dutch Corner Restaurant in Manchester, MD. 10 AM departure time should get us there right around 11AM for Sunday brunch. 15 miles over, 23 miles back via a different route. Winter "B" ride pace. We'll probably start the ride up Hanover St hill out of Glen Rock just to get warmed up early. Some chance of afternoon showers so always being the optimist, we should be back to GR before they roll in. Get your dose of exercise to justify the Super Bowl party overindulgences later on in the day!

Bruce, My hats off to you for completing that ride solo. That had to be a long ride on knobby tires! I believe we will get a lot of C rides listed on the Meet up page this year. If you look at our membership so far, C riders are the majority group.
    Keep pedalin'!

Kyle and Bruce, Great! Andy thinks a 20 minute head start will be enough since it's only 15 miles over. We'll be there NTL than 0940 with cue sheets if you will be ready to ride by then?

Bruce and other "C" riders... it sure would be good to get to know more of you! I would suggest that if we can get a couple of C riders interested, that Andy and I can show up early with cue sheets and C riders can leave ahead and the B riders will catch up along the way or at breakfast. A 30 minute head start should do it easily. Normally we would get there by 0945, but can roll in a bit earlier and get you started if you will be ready to ride at 0930.

Glad to a "c" ride go up! Can't make this one; still a bit chilly for me - and I have plans at 11.

    Bruce,
Love ta have you join us. I do have cue sheets made up that'll get you there and back. I don't foresee this being a high energy ride, just an excuse to stretch the legs after 4 weeks in the deep freezer. It might only turn out to be a 13 MPH ride because the way over is a bit hilly. So it's really up to you. If you can pretty much hang in there we'll wait at the hilltops to regroup. We do that anyway since not everybody climbs at the same rate. Of course I don't want to drag down the group at large so if the gaps become too large we might just ride ahead if you are OK going off the cue sheet. Other option would be to give you a 10 - 15 min head start and meet you there. Your call. Like I said, we'd love to have ya.
