Friday GlenRita "B" Ride; Hilly, 15-16 MPH Pace

"B" level ride. Start your weekend off right with the first GlenRita of the season!! Arrive by 5:15 or as early as you need to in order to be ready to ride by 5:30 PM. Expect this ride to be on the hillier side of what the county offers, but low traffic. For this first ride we'll do a 20-25 mile loop at a 15-16 MPH pace. Optional recovery session and story-swapping at Mignano's after the ride. BYORB (Bring Your Own Recovery Beverage) optional but recommended!

If you are unsure what a B ride is, read the descriptions here:  http://www.meetup.com/York-Bicycling/pages/Ride_Descriptions/.  Let me know if you have questions.

Rita and the wet riders. It was a great time. Glad to have shared parts of the time with you. Will be back with the gear shifter fixed.
Looked for tracking app and found Runtastic Road Bike GPS. Is this the one you use?

And a great ride it was!!! For those of you who stayed home, you are vindicated since we did get a little wet the last 5 miles, but it was a light rain and it was warm and comfortable. As Andy said, "we get more wet on a humid day". The only down side is that the bikes will need to be cleaned. We did get in 21 miles which made us "beer qualified" to everyone's great relief. Thanks to those who showed and to those who almost showed. Right now the long range forecast has next Friday as a sparkling spring day, so mark your calendars!

We went out at 3pm for 27 miles to ensure we took advantage of the nice weather. Enjoy!!!

Friday GlenRita riders... this is a tough one, but every time I look the chances of getting wet during our ride window are decreasing. I hate to get wet on a ride, but I also hate to cancel a ride on account of good weather and right now it's 70 degree with almost no wind, which will be a delightful change. So, Andy and I will be there RTR at 5:30 PM for the GlenRita (B) ride and unless it's raining at the start, we'll head out with whoever else is there!

Checking the radar at 3 PM. Right now it appears as though the rain is passing west and north of York. Seems like it is having trouble getting over the mountains. Sure is a nice day out there for now at least!

Hey all, I've picked a route for tomorrow. It will be 24 miles, nothing too hateful in the way of climbing but still about 65 ft/mile. So far, I've checked all of the weather forecasts and haven't yet found one that I like! Let hope we get a window for our ride. I'll make the call by about 3:30 so you can plan accordingly.

Might make my first outing for this. I'm still a bit new to road biking and getting used to the bike/clipless, so I might fall back if you guys are going hard.

Hey Steve, Kelly's group is probably the better one to start with... it sounds about right from your description.

I'll be coming from Lancaster to make this ride. Hopefully I'll be able to cut class early.
