YRPL 2013/14 Championship Qualifying Tournament

Each Tournament is a standalone event with all entries 100% paid out in the nightly prize pool.

Qualifying Event: See below for complete details regarding the 2013/14 YRPL Championship.

Tournament Information

Open to both Men and Women age 19 and over. Limited to the first 100 paid entries plus 10 alternates. Seats are reserved by RSVP until 7:00pm at that time we will start seating alternates first come first served.

Tournament Start: 7 pm sharp. Registration at 6:30 pm please be early.

Entry: $75.00, 100% to the nightly prize pool (see option below).

Starting Chips: 5,000 (10,000 with below option).

Option: Players have the option of paying $25.00 to help cover event costs including  the Chef Special with one beverage and a $5.00 per person charity donation, as a bonus you will receive 5,000 in playing chips.

Cost: With the above option the event cost is $100.00 with a starting stack of 10,000 in chips.

Re-Buy: $60.00 for 7,000 in chips, limited to one per player and only during the first 120 minutes of play. A Re-Buy may be made by any player having 1,000 or less in chips. If you have 0 chips you must choose to re-buy immediately, without missing a hand.

All re-buys are saved to fund the season championship.

Prize Pool: The final table of 10 players will be paid out with entry's above 60 players.

Seat Chip/Bounty Chip, at registration each players will draw a random seat chip that will also act as your bounty chip (no cash value). For each player you eliminate, you will win their bounty chip, if you are eliminated, you must surrender one bounty chip.  Each bounty chip collected will be worth 5 points towards the Championship standings.  If you are bust (0 chips) and re-buy a new bounty chip will be included. In the case of a split pot involving a bounty chip, the player with the most chips at the start of the hand will win the bounty chip.

Blind Levels: The blinds increase every 20 minutes and are designed to end the game within 8 hours.

2013/14 YRPL Championship

Qualifying Events – YRPL[masked] Championship

This will be a 15 event qualifying series played on the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month, starting Friday, September 13, 2013, ending on Friday, April 25, 2014, there will be no game on December 27, 2013. The Championship will be played Friday, May 9, 2014.

The top 30 players qualify for the Championship based on points earned during the 15 qualifying events counting the best 14 of 15 events. The Championship is a free-roll event funded by the re-buys of the 15 qualifying events. The regular event option of $25.00 will be paid from the championship prize pool on behalf of each qualifying player.

As a free-roll there is no entry fee or monies taken from the entry fees of the qualifying events.

Estimated prize pool: 1st 5K, 2nd 3K, 3rd 2K, 4th 1K, all 30 qualifiers cash out.

    YRPL 2013/14 Championship Event #14 (11/04/14) We had 97 players with the final table of 10 all in the money. Congratulations to Don O 2,200 defeating Paula 1,500 heads up. Rounding out the final table Alberto 900, Mario B 700, John Z 560, Brano C 420, Arden C S 340, Dave N 300, Terry P 200, and Christine 155 in 10th.

    Congratulations to Paula (I wish I had played more games) Fera making 3 final tables in a row with a 9th, 8th and 2nd moving from 69th in the standings to 34th and with one more Event #15 she may just make top 30 having missed 4 games.

    Next Event: Friday, April 25th 7PM - Newmarket.

      The coordinator of this. Event has asked that each person rsvp individually. If they are unable to do so the event dooes take walk-ins and there is generally room even if the website shows max there are often a few no shows. See you there!!
