Make friends, learn new things, teach what you know!

I have moved back to Victoira after being away twenty years and I want to meet new people.
My idea here is to meet socially and make arrangements to swap skills. For example: I'll teach you how to crochet (or make a cheese sauce, or decorate cakes, or set up a website, or quilt, or paint, or take photos, or ride a bike, etc.) if you teach me basic Italian (or...).
Most times it will probably involve more than just a straight across trade. Maybe 3 or 4 people will have to form a circle before you find the teacher you need.
This is not a group for business people who want to network, or for bartering for goods (I have a load of lumber you can have for that barbeque).
It is meant mostly to be social, fun and casual and hopefully we will all come away with new friends, skills, hobbies or interests.

The first meetup will take place as soon as possible after I receive the first RSVP. It may take a while to grow this group, but I am really looking forward to this! Spread the word, invite your friends. Hope to hear from you soon.
