- I note that Martin Kostrzewa has tacitly confirmed this failure by canceling his own "I'm going" and removing himself from this list altogether. The only others who have held MeetUps are Michelle Tells (Michelle Potter) and Jay Jacob. I hope we can try again.

OK, looking at the map some more, let us be realistic. I have run in the Bay to Breakers before and Ocean Beach will be filled with thousands of people either finishing up their or observing. That is a challenge, but I am a persistent sort of guy. I will try to contact the three other people and see if we can still have some sort of gathering because I do not like the precedent of having these sorts of events simply "fail to happen" because of some lame excuse like Bay to Breakers.

OK, the "Ocean Beach" is a fine place to name, but are we then going to go indoors? There are two places to dine at the north end of the beach: The Beach Chalet and the The Cliff House. That will cost a little money. Is that a problem? We should decide on one or the other and we should figure out how to recognize each other more than just by face. Do you guys carry a sign or something?

BTW: With only four people saying they are going, I can understand if you cancel, but I intend to be there.

I am going to be offline for the next several hours and I am using public transportation so I need the info. Please let us be decisive ASAP about setting our plans for today. We need to decide in the next hour or two or we will fail to find each other.
