The weather is looking pretty bad for tomorrow (-25-30 with the wind chill). Plus it gets quite windy on Ha Ling. So I'll reschedule this hike for another day (date not decided yet). Do you guys still want to go out? We can go to Johnston canyon or Grassi lakes (might need snowshoes. I have 1 extra pair). Please let me know and if you have any other ideas about what we can do.

Also, have a warm toque/hat and something to cover the ears; sunglasses or ski goggles; scarf or balaclava. We always have the option to do something easy and then just relax in the mountains if it's too cold tomorrow.

Looks like we are going to have a clear pristine winter day on Saturday with temperatures around -15. We'll be getting warm pretty quick though going up. Make sure you dress in layers of synthetic or wool with a shell jacket and bring in extra layer or two. Bringing a down jacket for when we stop would be a great idea too.

    - Make sure you have foot traction device. Bringing snowshoes (if you have them) would be good idea too in case we need to break the trail.

    - Extra pair or two of socks and gloves is highly recommended.

    - Hand warmers could help too to warm up cold toes and fingers which you can get for pretty cheap from MEC or campers village

If the weather to too extreme, we can just go to the nearby easy Grassi lakes and then drive to Canmore for some food and drinks!

Please change your RSVP if you cannot make it. And if you have any questions, please let me know . Also, read about other things to bring in the description.

I'll decide closer to the date. Can't really predict Alberta weather this much in advance :-)

If the highs will be colder than -15, I'll probably reschedule it. We'll warm up pretty quick though on the hike!
