Tell us a little bit about yourself.

As previously mentioned, I've lived in the Bloomington area for roughly seven years, have worked at IU for six years, and am currently enrolled in night classes at IU. My end goal is to move out of Indiana the summer of 2015, resulting in an amazing condo within downtown Seattle. Between now and then, I plan to make myself as marketable as possible, and land a (hopefully) six-figure position. I would love to attend law school and pass the bar by age 35, but I definitely have plenty of time to worry about that goal later!

What do you hope to get out of this Meetup?

I'm interested in meeting new people, and expanding my social circle. For those of you who have lived in the area long can relate, after a break up or two, the dating and social circle can grow to a minuscule size of its former self!

What kinds of activities do you like to do for fun?

Amazing music, delicious drinks, and witty conversation. Though my job as a systems administrator causes me to be super nerdy, I'm far from the usual stereotype.

Do you have any suggestions for the group? (events, places to visit, activities, etc.)

Root Cellar for dance party. Serendipity, the rail, or grazie for cocktails. Malibu Grill for salmon trout plate. Perhaps once it's warm again, reserve the Irish Lion grove for tasting. Oliver Winery on the square for wine and cheese / desert. Board game night at my place (I have tons of room).

Introduction

I've lived in the Bloomington area for roughly 7 years (originally from central Indiana; have resided in cities throughout the state, as well as in both Seattle, WA and Washington D.C.). I both attend and work at IU (sysadmin for the Health Center).
