Home Beer Brewing and Beer-Cheese Pairing Tasting

One hobby which I'm passionate about is home brewing. If there is interest, I'm happy to open my doors to share with you the inner mysteries of brewing beer. The process takes about 2 hours from start to finish.
While the brewing is going on, you can sample various of my home brewed beers.

My vanilla porter recently won our local Charlottesville Area Masters of Real Ale extract beer competition and will be representing Charlottesville at the American Brewer's Assocation national competition.

Due to the vicissitudes of human nature, I cannot know exactly what will be available to drink, but I should have pilsner, some hoppy ESB, enough vanilla porter for a small tasting, double bock, "umberjack" brown ale and "almond joy" brown ale which was brewed with almond extract and toasted shredded coconut.

Such a great time, we couldn't stop laughing. It was a great meetup, lots of great beer info given by Hunter. SO much fun. Who knew the girls would outnumber the guys. LOL

Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight.
We will be brewing a clone of Fuller's London Pride, one of my favorite beers, an English bitter that is malty, smooth and has notes of caramel and toffee.
My address may not be on some GPS systems, so do not rely on GPS.
It is very easy. From northbound 29, left on Town Center Drive, pass Hollymead shopping center entrance, continue straight around circle and turn right on Lockwood Dr which is next road.
If you get helplessly lost you can call me at[masked]

Would you be able to bring any of the following?

      1. Tilsiter (small amount because I only have 1 bottle of the porter to pair with it...)

      2. Aged Gouda or crumbly cheshire (maybe 1lb?) to pair with my brown ale

      3. Some sort of dessert you think would go well with my coconut brown ale (for example, a chunky ice cream like vanilla w/ toffee, and we'll just pour a little of the beer on top)

Erin is also bringing some cheeses I've suggested for the pairing and bread. Thanks to you both!

Just pushed the date a week forward in order to allow more time for beer-momentum to build. Also, the beer I want to brew, a Belgian IPA from a Brewer's Best ingredients kit, is not yet in stock at my supplier, Fermentation Trap. I usually do custom recipes rather than ingredients kits at this point, but I tasted this from a friend and it was so crisp and refreshing that I want to do it as my first IPA.

Even though I RSVP'd yes to this, I don't get off work until 5:30 or 6 usually. I was hoping to come over after though and you could just show me how the process works. I make wine so I should be able to follow along pretty well.
