Watch "The Dark Crystal" at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery!

Let's go to the historic Hollywood Forever Cemetery to picnic and watch the Cinespia screening of "The Dark Crystal."

You can buy tickets here for $12. There may also be some tickets at the gate, but just to be safe, your best bet is buying them online.

We'll meet at 6:30 in front of the cemetery at the corner of N. Gower St. and Santa Monica Blvd. to get in line. The gates don't open till 7:30, but since these screenings can be very popular, we want to make sure to get a good spot on the lawn.

Feel free to bring blankets, pillows, low chairs, and food and drinks (beer and wine are permitted). We can picnic until the movie starts at 9 p.m. There's a bunch of famous people buried at Hollywood Forever, so you can always walk around the grounds as well (The cemetery wants people to stay on the paved roads, though).

As far as parking goes, there's a few smaller lots near the entrance, or you can buy a parking ticket when you buy your movie ticket. The parking ticket options are for the Paramount parking structure at 801 N. Gower, which is $8. You can also buy a ticket to park on the cemetery grounds for $15. Please note that if you choose the cemetery grounds option, you can't park until 7:30, so we'll meet you inside the cemetery instead of in line. Carpooling is encouraged :-).

Hope you can make it!

Had a great time hanging out with you all, picnicking, and watching the adventures of non-Muppet Jim Henson creatures. Thanks for coming out!

Ok, so I have a special item being delivered on Sat, so I might be late to the showing. If you don't see me at the meeting time, please go ahead, no worries. It would be great if you could save a spot for me. I will try to find you guys. I do have tickets to the show. Thanks!

Got a parking pass for the Paramount lot. I've got space for 3 carpoolers coming from North OC area (I'm in Fullerton).

Just tried to buy tickets online and it said I'm allowed to buy "0", so that means it's sold out?

Ah, I was typing in "2" not clicking the "+" (which you'd think would work but oh well).

    • Katie

Ah, OK. Yeah, it would've made sense to be able to type the "2" in as well.

Never heard of the movie, but the venue seems awesome, as does the company :) I am down to carpool, I will pitch in for gas & parking :)
