Welcome to the Free and Fun OC Fitness Bootcamp! I hope that you find this an enjoyable experience. To add to your comfort level, please feel free to ask any questions. We are friendly, inclusive and a melting pot! There is no bootcamp leader blowing a whistle or yelling--haha!

How Much Does Bootcamp Cost?

Bootcamp sessions are free-even more reason to make this a regular part of your fitness regime. Donations are welcome! ;-)

What Should I bring?

As we meet in the park, there are no storage facilities, you should come in workout clothes you are happy to get a little dirty. Some people bring bottles of water or bags but if you do I recommend keeping it light because you'll have to jog with it short distances between exercises.

How Fit Do I need to be?

While we cater for a range of fitness levels you should be at least average fitness. As a test, you should be able to complete one plank for at least 1 minute, be able to do 20 pushups and jog at least 1 mile.

What exercises do I do?

The sessions last for about an hour and include aerobic fitness routines with running, prints, star jumps, circuits, pilates, yoga-like stretches, boxing/kickboxing in the air and some dance moves!

I have been in a bootcamp for 3 years and have experience leading for 1 year, but I am not a professional trainer. Please accept that you are liable for yourselves and are only encouraged to go at your own pace and to rest whenever appropriate.

By RSVPing "Yes" to this event, you understand and agree that you are voluntarily participating in this fitness event at your own risk. You acknowledge that you are aware of the risks inherent in participating in any physical activities and certify that you are physically fit, have not been otherwise informed by any physician and know of no restrictions imposed on you by any physician that would in any way prevent you from actively participating in this event.

In consideration for OC Nerdy Group allowing your participating in this fitness event, you, on behalf of yourself, your successors in interest, heirs, assigns, and representatives hereby release and hold harmless the event organizer, successors, etc. of any and all liability claims, damages, actions and causes of action whatsoever on account of any loss, damage or injury to person (including death) or any other loss or inconvenience whatsoever, suffered by you at any time hereafter arising out of your voluntary participation in this fitness event whether resulting from the event organizer's negligence or otherwise collectively, (liabilities).

You hereby grant permission to the event organizer to render preventative or first-aid assistance or seek treatment or medical care that seems reasonably necessary, including hospitalization for your health and well-being.

You give the event organizer permission to freely use your name, picture, and voice in any broadcast, telecast, print account, online or any other account in any medium of the fitness event (personal release).     Still finding bits of grass from all those burpees and leg lifts, but it was so much fun, I'm so sore, steps make me cry, but Amy makes it seem so easy. We always have a great time!

    Great turnout (probably 40 people or so). Friendly bunch.
    Amy is a slave-driver. ;) I could not believe my ears when I heard her saying '60 burpees!' - I died at 20.
    Highly recommended to anyone who's looking for some sore muscles. I would definitely do this again.

    Thanks everyone for coming out! I"ve enjoyed the adventures we have had and to see people grow in their physical strength/endurance. It has also been good to see newbies. I cherish the memories we've and hope that you all had a great experience as I have had with this group. Strangely enough we all tend to bond during dinner time/dessert. Lol. I encourage everyone to keep challenging yourselves and try to stay active whether it is working out on your own or with others. Special thanks to Alvin and Meghan for helping to lead the bootcamp in the future and hopefully see you all there! Thanks Christine for the dessert suggestion and for others for your gifts/well-wishes, and thanks. I love bootcamp!
