Introduction

I've never done this before but I saw your meetup and thought you looked like a fun bunch. I'm just looking to make some new friends in the OC. I moved down here two years ago and do not know many people. This would be my first meetup group.

What is one thing about you that makes you a nerd?

Currently watching Start Trek Voyager because it is streaming on Netflix. Dr. Who is one one my favorite shows. Since I work from home I live and breath computers. I get too distracted sometimes browsing http://www.reddit.com (When Does the Narwhal Bacon?). And last but not least, I'm always trying to learn about the universe but the more I learn the more I realize how much I do not know. That would be more than one thing, hope that does not disqualify me!

I am 27.. so yes :)

What kind of work do you do (or if you're in school, what are you studying)?

I work from home helping to run a custom web development company called ApogeeINVENT. We build all sorts of websites, working in LAMP environment. http://www.apogeeinvent.com/ (I did not make this website and am fighting to get it changed) The company is less that twenty people in size. I started w/ them five years ago as a independent contractor and have moved up to be the CIO of the company. Though in a company this small, the title is just for looks ;)
