Hi! I seriously never know what to say in these intros...I like to read! I spent tons of time reading as a kid and a teenager. It feels like reading is dead, but apparently it's not! Especially not in Portland.
I'm 25, female (hahah), accepting, kind, silly, and lot's of other stuff, depending on the minute and the day. I like to sing, read, give myself reiki, run, and hang out with people. I moved here over a year ago from Massachusetts.
Anything and everything.
Hi Tegan! I'm really excited for the next meeting of the book club, I'm bummed I can't come this Friday. I actually went to college up here in Portland, but my family is still down in the Bay Area. My favorite book is a contemporary British book called "I, Lucifer" - it's the book I wrote my thesis on so you can imagine the connection. What about you? What's your favorite book or genre?
Thanks for the welcome message! I'm enjoying it out here so far, sounds like you're relatively new around these parts too. It's a fun city to explore, and I'm definitely hoping to meet some other fun people in the city to connect with.
Awesome! I grew up in Dennis (on Cape Cod). My partner and I moved out here for his job.
Hi Tegan, thanks for your welcome message! I actually grew up in Massachusetts! Where are you from? I was most recently living in Connecticut.
Thanks Tegan, it was great meeting you too. I look forward to future meetings!
I'd say more like a deep dish from your favorite Chicago pizzeria. Thanks!
Thanks for your message, Tegan! The couch looks like a pizza, or, at least, I hope it will by the time I'm finished. I tend to sing a lot of different things because I like a lot of different music. I am enjoying the weather, I hope you are too! I look forward to participating in this book club!
Hi Tegan, thanks for your welcome message! I moved here from Chicago just a few weeks ago. My husband started a new job in the Portland area, so we packed up and relocated. If you haven't read "Dune" by Frank Herbert, I would highly recommend it. It's a sci-fi classic with awesome characters and a fast moving plot. And after you read it, you can check out the so-bad-it's-good 1984 David Lynch film based on the book...featuring a very young Sting.
Thank you so much for coming :) Look forward to sharing tea with you again soon.
hi tegan sorry I didn't reply sooner =/ still trying to figure this out lol. And most definitely a romance novel would be fun =)
