Honor Lincoln and Washington with Snoeshowing

I'm new to snoeshowing but I really enjoy it. I'm planning a trip up Mt. Hood to Trillium Lake to snoeshoe on Monday, leaving Portland at 10AM.

It will be a beginners pace and about a 3 mile loop. We can get something to eat afterward if you like. I have space for 3 more in my tiny car(seriously tiny) and can pick up in near-in NE. We can also arrange to meet in the Trillium Lake Parking Lot. I hope you can make it!

Ok Ladies here are the details,

We can meet in the parking lot by the Buckman Soccer Field here at 10AM(leave promptly at 10:15), plenty of parking. My number is [masked]. We can stop in the town of Sandy on the way up and they have a bunch of places to rent snowshoes. It's really easy to snowshoe, no special skills required. I would bring: Waterproof boots or shoes Wool socks Athletic leggings or snowpants Top layers of a long sleeve sweatwicking shirt, a fleece and a waterproof jacket. I always end up going in just the shirt and leggings and then putting on a sweater when I'm done. It gets really hot when you're snowshoeing so layers are the way to go. I would also bring some snacks and water you can carry. I hope that helps!

Is there a place to rent snowshoes up there? I live in NE and would love to carpool.

Hey how much is a park pass if you drive yourself? I've been wanting to try snowshoeing this season so I hope I can make it!

I know you can rent some in Sandy on the way up. Not sure about the fee but I think it is less than $20. Maybe around $12. Send me an email if you would like to carpool. I will be buying a snopark day pass, so we can split that and the gas. [masked]

Fun! I am new to PDX and definitely snowshoeing. It sounds like you can rent them?

I would love to ride with someone and can contribute $ for gas.
