ABOUT THIS EVENT
Join us for a great hike among the redwoods on Saturday, June 21st! Henry Cowell State Park has beautiful creekside trails, and is nice and cool even on hot days because of the awesome shelter from the redwoods. We will be doing an easy trail, so all hikers are welcome! For more info on the park, check out: http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=546
There's also a "Roaring Camp" area nearby that's kind of cool and we may choose to explore: http://www.roaringcamp.com/town. Most likely though, we won't have time.
We will have a late lunch after the hike most likely in Santa Cruz, and then return to San Jose soon after.
10 am to carpool (departing promptly at 10:15 am)
11 am if you're meeting us there (hiking begins promptly at 11:20 am so make sure you're not late!)
Important Note: cell reception is spotty in the park, so please plan ahead.
WHAT TO BRING
• Water! (Camelbaks encouraged)
• Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses
• Snacks (trail mix, beef jerky, nutrition bar)
• Hiking or tennis shoes
