Retro Game Night at the History Center

Let go play some board games! The Orange County History Center has a quarterly retro game night. They have three floors of board games, music, and snacks and drinks available for purchase. Cost is $5 (cash only) at the door. There are several meetup groups going, and it is always a great time!

Too bad I only saw and hung out with one of the member of this group. Oh, well. It's a busy place and event so I was surprised to even see one person from the group.

Marie-- I only have half of the shift off so I get off work in Lk Mary at 6pm this night. I am tempted to change my RSVP because of this. :-/ I'd just hate to have you wonder where we are and have us keep each other posted the whole time since I can't guarantee a particular time we can get there and when we'd all be ready to head over there (as soon as we all change into my retro outfit right after work at my friend's house, of course). My guess is that we'll get there around 8pm. My idea is to change my rsvp to "no" but if we end up seeing you or others in the group there, then of course that would be great. What do ya think? I am just trying to show you courtesy here. :-) Ash and I have been lookin' forward to this so thanks for hosting it for your group.

Thanks a lot, Marie. This will be one of those times where it has to be super laid back for me due to my schedule and the logistics of it all and girlfriends' schedules. So, I appreciate this a lot. :-D I will text or call when we get there and we're ready to check with ya. ;-)

I'll be in the front lobby inside the history center until about 7:30ish. If you're going to be later you can call or text me -[masked]-6610. There are several meetup groups going, so we should have plenty of chances to play games and mingle!

Thanks everyone for the input on parking and comments about dressing up. I've had a rough month and haven't been able to check in with meetup much. If you still have questions, please let me know! See you all Friday!

Just joined..looking forward to meeting u all. So being that retro attire is encouraged is anyone going dressed in retro??

I dont have anything either, Id have to get something. It would be fun to dress up and see what everyone comes up with though. It would have to be a group involvement though. Dont want to be the only one dressing up/or not thats why I was wondering.

I'm buying an oversized sweatshirt and a pair of tights (from Goodwill-- no shame in it). :-p Cutting off the collar of the shirt to make it off-the-shoulder (Flashdance-style). Also wearing a side pony. :-D Lookin' forward to dressin' up! My friend Ash and Jodi are too.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
