A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.
– Coco Chanel.
... and that's what we are.
This group has been set up for like minded young women in their 20's and 30's in the Brisbane area to get together, have fun and share some laughs. Please note this is NOT a lesbian group.
The idea behind this group is that it will assist hundreds of women throughout Brisbane to make new friends, long lasting friendships and to provide opportunities for women to get out and experience activities that they might normally not be able partake in.
You don't need to attend every single event, just those that you're interested in, so for all the newbies joining us please don't feel pressured to come along to everything. We do make sure that we have regular events so that people do have the opportunity to get to know each other. Our most regular events are Friday night drinks in the city. We also organise a variety of other events including picnics, dinners, outings, wine tastings, movies, trivia, and fitness activities.
To make this a truly interactive and communal group I strongly encourage group members to suggest activities and myself (along with the other wonderful and friendly co-organisaers) will do our best to promote the activity to make it a fantastic experience for everyone involved. So please feel free to add an event of your own if you have something in mind.
Due to an increasing number of 'no shows', please be aware that you may be removed from the group if you continually fail to show up for an event that you have RSVP-ed yes to. I know this sounds harsh but it can make or break an activity especially if the organiser has paid a deposit. If you can't make it simply update your RSVP....this also gives the lovely ladies on the waiting list a chance to attend. If you have not been active for over a year you will also be removed as it makes it easier to keep track of members who are attending but you are always welcome to re-join in the future!
From all of the existing group members I would like to welcome you to the group and sincerely look forward to meeting you.
Elyse and the fellow co-organisers.
P.S. If you are a gentleman thinking of joining - you will not get approved ;-)
