What's your favorite young adult book?

I don't do favorites. I appreciate things for what they are and how they impact me and there are stories that reach me with an equal intensity but from a different approach. I think a better question would be to give an example of how a book has influenced you, moved you, or opened your eyes to something. At least that way, in the case that one would have no example, the floor is open to let one's own creativity run. I look forward to meeting with all of you. I have been slacking on reading this year and using my schedule as an excuse. This may be just the incentive I need to make the time to pick up the book.

I have never been in a book club more and nothing is quite as lame as wanting to share a great story you read with someone with no input from them. I would love to hear other's interpretations on stories I have read and compare.
