Seminole State Forest Camping

Moccasin Campsite in Seminole State Forest
Up to 5 people costs $10 (no matter if 1 or 5 people come)
First car is free, second car is $2 per night
Campsite is designated for 5 but up to 8 could fit if we don't use mansion tents (I personally have a hammock tent so I won't take up valuable flat/clear ground) It is $2 per person per night over 5 people.

I plan to kayak in so my car won't be there. I welcome company on the paddle!!

I don't want to seem like a sunshine camper, I am not.... But it is currently raining where I am. The forecast for orlando has it raining and T-storming all night into sat. Will everyone still show?

I'll have my kayak and can bring my second one. There are hiking trails and mountain biking trails and supposedly the water has some good fish for catching :)

I live close (im in sanford near 417/i4 intersection) and have a little bit of parking space. If everyone/anyone wants to park and carpool in that would be cool with me

A paddle in (downstream from Lake Norris) is discouraged by park service citing a lot of strainers and hyacinth. So here's my paddle plan ... I'll drive to the campsite and I'll paddle upstream to see how far upstream is navigable...the park rangers are curious :D As far as cars, carpooling is suggested. I have room for one more boat on my car and can carry up to three people. (I can throw a bike in the back too, for those of you interested in hitting the bike paths in the forest) Let me know if you want to catch a ride with me :) I'm flexible on arrival time Friday but I do have somewhere to be Sunday afternoon so I plan to break camp around 11am. Hope that doesn't mess anyone up!

I'm excited to meet everyone! Since I'll be driving in, I'll be bringing my big cast iron pot ... so you can expect a tasty treat for dinner on me!
