8.5-Mile Kayak Trip

Launch from King's Landing (Rock Springs) to Wekiva Island for an 8.5-mile kayak trip downstream, about a four-hour trip.

Wekiva Island has food, beer, wine, and soda (or pop for those that prefer) but bring snacks and water for the trip.

Suggestions of items to bring:
• *Cash
• Water
• Snacks/Lunch
• Dry bag
• Swimsuit and towel
• Bug spray and sunscreen
• Binoculars
• Camera

Link to their rates.

*Please remember to bring cash. King's Landing accepts cash only. They do have an ATM on site, but there are probably bank fees and whatnot associated with that.

For the insomniacs (or early risers), I'm going to grab breakfast at 6:00/6:30 somewhere in the vicinity of King's Landing. My number for details:[masked]

I know this is pretty late, but a few people have messaged me about bringing plus ones and some spots have opened up.

I have been confirmed, but can I bring a guest?

Or is the Kayak enough for me and my brother?

At the moment it's full, but people tend to change their RSVPs at the last minute, and if a space opens up, I'll let you know.

Is it ok if I join since I have my own kayak?

They charge $10 to launch your own boat (from King's Landing). They also charge (another) $10 to pick up your boat at Wekiva Island (the end point) & bring it back to King's Landing (your starting point).
