Working Groups in Action

We will be focusing on working groups in action, concentrating on:

1) Street/local activism
2) Public Speaking/organizing events
3) Helping push the TZM Education Project
http://tzmeducation.org/
4) Interacting & establishing contact with other social activist groups (positive money etc.) & volunteer groups from TZM to help local charitable groups, food banks, Age concern etc.

We would also like to hear from people with skills in the following areas.

Education,
Sociology,
Science/engineering specialists,
Religious scholars (people with knowledge in this field)
Neurology/biology
Psychology/behavioural studies
Media/Film making
*Other fields not listed, but may be useful (offers welcome:)

This meeting is open to anyone who has a general interest in the movement but it will be concentrating on achieving certain goals.

Please try to be on time.
There is a kitchen on site with tea/coffee making facilities but no food but there are places locally to get food & people can bring their own sandwiches etc. and of course everyone can socialise afterwards in the local pubs restaurants etc.

Really nice to meet up with you all over the weekend. Sorry I could not stay quite as long as I would have liked but it was great meeting up and both inspiring and motivational for me to brainstorm with you all. Here's a link to the BedZED project that mentioned in relation to current urban sustainability concepts. I really like some of the stuff that they have included in their Surrey flagship.

I'd like to come to one of these Saturday work group meetings, but I'm always working at the weekends. Are they held at any other time? Thanks.

Hi i'm pretty new to TZM, I watched the movies a few years ago, then on and off completed internet searches for the Venus project and such. i think its a fantastic and would love to help any way that i can, but i would also enjoy the chance to become more educated about how this can happen, what allows it to be a viable solution given the fact that centrally planned economies haven't worked in the past, how things like crimes of passion will be tackled, basically i have a bunch of question that i genuinely am interested in having resolved, so to that end how might i educate myself on such matters?

Hi Jasmine, there are hundreds of books to read on many different subjects. I would first though download a copy of our latest orientation guide which a brilliant overview & citations of all referenced material, there is also a reccomended reading list on the U.K. Website.
Centrally planned economies have not worked in the past or now because of moneary interference, political interference & ignorance of the people controlling those economies. You live in a centrally planned economy today i.e. the banks collude to centrally controlthe avaliability of the money supply.
Crimes of passion would be tackled by health professionals & social workers & on an individual basis with compassion & understanding not condemnation & disproportionate punishment. There is too much to say on this subject & a short post on here would not be fair, cheers.

I regret to say I work Saturdays until late afternoon, otherwise I would attend. I believe the Zeitgeist views & message should be promoted as much as possible.
