London chapter ZDAY 2014 meeting

This meeting will be to plan & discuss the programme & preparation for
Z-Day in March, along with planning the direction & activism for the
London chapter going into 2014.

After a fairly quiet year activism wise (due mainly to many of the main organizers having had difficult personal years) we are now ready to push things on in a more organized, cohesive and creative manner.

Please come along whether you are new to the movement or are interested in volunteering time & skills for Z-day as well as any other ideas & information you would like to share that you feel are relevant to the direction of the movement.

Look forward to seeing you there. :D

Great to meet everybody on Saturday. Some of us carried on until 6am... oops.

Excited about the next meeting - maybe we should all try to bring a friend along? Spread the love.

Great stuff. Glad to be moving forward with the street activism stall again. That's going to be a lot of fun.

    (cont...apologies for the length, ahem:)

Not sure, as the discussion didn't seem to elucidate, to me, whether more involvement is encouraged on the sort of planning side. Anyway, it's all new to me, so I look forward to hearing from you. Interesting that it should be coinciding with stuff and ideas I already I work with, and have been doing and thinking about since 1989:) Nice bunch of people, for sure! Many thanks for today:) I certainly have not been put off, hehe:)

As I missed the beginning of the talk today, I am not sure what I can sign up for on Zday. What do you need help with? I am not sure I can do canvassing in the street, physically, as I have just stopped walking with a stick, so standing up for long times at an end may not be good for me. Also, I'm not aware how taxing the assistance you need help with is, but I am certainly willing to do something, perhaps, on Zday. I am used to be in a sort of leadership role, or guidance role, but it seems you may have some of that covered, though I am very happy if anyone wants to have a one to one in coaching this side of things. i think one of you mentioned you are too brash to be a public figure, or represent the movement, but personally, I don't necessarily think so. Sorry, don't know names, but it would be a pleasure to coach anything that has to do with confidence etc, within limits of course, as I do have a life, hehe:)

Hi guys, you asked me to put down what I can contribute with: I coach performance, i.e. businessmen, politicians, yet mainly film actors, ballet stars, opera, and have directed in the West End, co-founded a national ballet, published poetry. I also coach script writers, and write my own screenplays nowadays, and am involved with enterprise aimed at making social and fundamental change:) I suppose can be useful in coaching people, or do film editing perhaps, as I used to be a film actor. I have also worked as a professional translator (text, really and mostly, though some tv clips), anything business to business, and philosophy, including market research. I can do the normal stuff, ie ushering, or tickets, or similar, if you want, too.

Firstly, sorry I had to leave early.

Fwiw, some feedback. I hope it encourages more. As a first-timer, would love to hear from all the other newbies.

    Great turnout.
    Great knowledge in the room.
    The debates were interesting.
Looking forward to consuming the recommended books / videos. Links below from my notes.

Given the numbers, I'm happy to host the next meetup at our office in SE1. Would give us the chance to breakup into project groups.

Also, would be good to get to know everyone more! Cheers!
