Screening of Callahan's lecture / Earthship-related event

At Earthship Seattle, we have 4 areas of focus:
1.0 - Promote Earthships
2.0 - Resources/Tools/Information
3.0 - Plan demo Earthship in Seattle
4.0 - Community/EcoVillage discussion

This event is a screening of Clinton Callahan's lecture "Relationships don't die from lack of love, relationships die from lack of intimacy".
Clinton is also the author of "Directing the power of conscious feelings", which is the best book I've ever read.

I haven't seen the lecture but I suspect it to be very interesting.

Q: How does this connect to Earthship Seattle?

A: Our focus "4.0" is about creating an EcoVillage of Earthships where a community can live happily and sustainably.

In a place where people live off-the-grid and are not tied anymore to economic stress, members will be liberated from the rat race and enjoy a lot more time and freedom.

This haven could provide a place for healing, especially in such a profoundly sick society (if I may quote Krishnamurti). But before healing others, shouldn't we be healed first?

Therefore I'd like to start the discussion for the 4.0 focus with some group discussion about our own responsibility, our weaknesses, our compassion, etc.

This is totally experimental but I believe that we shouldn't wait for the day we have 50 Earthships in a 100-acre piece of land to start wondering how and if we can live together :)

Come be an experimenter and bring your feedback, feelings, thoughts...

To follow up, Clinton's book that I've read and consider the best book I've read, is "Directing the power of conscious feelings"
The other book recommended by Lion is "The different drum".
Thanks all for coming, let's talk more about communities in the future and think of what and how to implement these ideas.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
