Sunday at Achievement

This is an ongoing game, but we welcome new players. Many of the regulars aren't on meetup so we'll be playing even if there aren't many RSVP's. We'll cancel the event if it gets called off due to weather, etc.

Primary Field will be on Achievement Drive on Centennial Campus.  There are two sets of open field for play.  One is about halfway down Achievement Drive and the other at the far end at intersection of Main Campus Drive (see map).  Look for us at either of these two fields.  If you don’t see disc’s flying by 1:30pm,  try the Soccer fields at Dix.

Here is the Google Maps link to Achievement Drive:

Other Notes:

  • It isn't unusual for the game to be late getting started.
  • Achievement Drive is a very short road and at present time there is no street number for this location. If you make it to this road, you will find the fields.
  • If using GPS, just enter “Achievement Drive, Raleigh, NC”
  • If you are looking for a landmark, Achievement Drive is very close to the NC Farmer’s Market. A good approach is take I-40 to Lake Wheeler Road (northbound) to Centennial Campus Drive.
  • You will need to park on the street. When you arrive, just look to see where the cars are parked.
  • The Frisbee Fanatics Meetup Group has a game on these same fields every Sunday, starting at 10:30am. They typically finish up around 12:30 which is perfect timing for us.

If you want a hands-on way to learn from easy-going, friendly players who know how to do it right... This is IT!

I usually show up for the last few points, sometimes earlier, of the R.U.F.F. group out there on Sunday, as does Pat quite often. people are essentially playing Ultimate all day out there.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
