Building a content management system with Zend Framework

Ever wish that there was an Open Source CMS with the site building power of a Drupal or Wordpress, but with the MVC architecture we've all grown to love? Come to the Zend Framework Meetup on Sept. 20, 2011, when Ely De La Cruz, an 8-year Multimedia Design and Development veteran, presents strategies used for implementing his own CMS, code-named "Edm (Extensible Data Manager)".

In this meetup, Ely will talk about his experiences using PHP cms engines and how he used existing cms offerings to build a base for his cms. The key theme throughout is to keep it as loose as possible while maintaining key features that allow developers to easily extend the cms without having to know too much about it.

Come to this meetup and learn how to use the ewheel to speed up your development.
Topics that will be discussed include but are not limited to:
MySql, Zend Framework, Php, Javascript, Flash, and Jquery

Hope to see you there.
