ZeroMQ (0mq, Ømq) is a library that supports light-weight messaging and some common messaging patterns for integration. This integration is done on any level isolation: thread-to-thread, process-to-process and machine-to-machine. It takes to heart the unix philosophy of doing only one thing and doing it right. It is also well known for being supported across all platforms and most of the languages out there - making it the top choice for serious integration, scalability and interop work. Enterprise software runs rampant in large organizations where a simpler, faster and less expensive (free and open source under the LGPL license) solution would do. It is time to focus on this in Vancouver!
