Postscript: I went to visit my "pet" Tilia americana and it hadn't even begun to bloom or leaf out yet. I said hello to it anyway and now I'll just have to come back in another three weeks or so.

That's okay; I'd have driven a lot farther than that! I had a great time. I do think that I was given a "crash course" in Arb parking and I ought to be able to get it straight now. Looking forward to Whole Foods on May 19.

    Hi Donna,

Sorry I didn't see this comment till after the event Saturday! Glad you were able to find us anyhow. For future reference, the Arboretum has 30 different parking lots: parking lots 1 - 18 are on the East Side and parking lots 19 - 30 are on the west side. For different programs, we'll often meet in different parking lots - check your program description and an Arboretum map to find the location outdoor events are meeting at.

    Great to meet you Saturday!

It was a blast! The Arb was so beautiful and it was a lovely day. It was great to actually get hands-on and plant trees in the Arb; somehow it was just different from planting in a backyard. The staff were very friendly and informative. It was a great day, I hope they plan some more of them.

Could you clarify just a bit more about where to meet? Is it the main Arb parking lot when you get off 88?

Fantastic, Donna! It's going to be a fun morning - the geographic collections are beautiful in the spring and Kunso and Emma (our planting guides) are always great to work with.
