Name of Cabaret: Political Subversities.
A cabaret of darkly funny songs and sketches about culture, politics and the crazy F-ed up world we live in. The Poli-Sub company returns to the PIT with new material in the same fast-paced style that made the ever-evolving show a success at The Culture Project and at Joe's Pub. A theatrical coup de political comedy birthed by Tony Nominee and Obie Award winner Elizabeth Swados and written by a cast of young actors, writers, singers and sketch comedians.
I have personally seen this show a few weeks ago. I have to say I was impressed. It reminded me a little of Saturday Night Live with regards to parody of current events. Not only it is funny, but it is also informative. It is one of those shows that makes you want to talk about it afterward.
You can pay at the door but to guarantee a seat you can pay by going to http://www.brownpapertickets.com/
This place has no hidden fees. Not drink requirements. So you can expect to only pay $10.
Drinks at Stout!
After the show, those who would like, can walk a few block to Stout Bar for a few drinks. They also have a menu for those who might want to eat.
