Re: [webstandards-118] Web Mapping Part One--Google Maps

Hi Jeff,

I am interested in the spatial Google API and how it handles spatial data integration, formats, standards, and to learn about requirements for web application development.

See You later.

Best,
Marco

Thanks for responding, Rashmi. The images for the map are stored on Google's server. You can implement your own background tiles, though, in which case the images would be stored on the sever of your choice.

Hi Jeffery,

To answer your questions, I haven't worked with Google maps, I'm just aware that it's an AJAX based app.

I would like to know where (locally or remotely, file system or database) are the images for the map stored.

-Thank you
Rashmi

Given the large number of yes and maybe RSVPs, I'd like to tailor
tonight's meetup to the attendees. What experience with Google Maps do
y'all have and does anyone have any burning development questions?

Thanks,
Jeffrey
