Senda Sursilvana (Graubunden)

  • Oct 21, 2012 · 7:15 AM

Dear All,

The weather stays good so time for hiking.

The idea would be to go hiking from Oberalppas (2050 meters) towards Disentis. This hike is part I and (partially part II) of the Senda Sursilvana and is also called the Flowertrail because of the various species available. The hike is not complicated and on paper it is about 6 hours, however normally we go faster.

Oberalppass 2050 m - Pass Tiarms 2148m (0.15 h) - Val Val 2052m (0.30 h) - Cuolm Val 2168 m (0.20 h) - Milez 1876m (0.35 h) - Brücke Val Giuv 1780m (0.15 h) - WW Hochmoor 1900m (0.50 h) - 1680m (0.25 h) - Abzweigung Dieni 1503 m (0.30 h) - Station Rueras 1448m (0.10 h) - Bahnhof Sedrun 1441m (0.25 h) - Bugnei (0.30 h) - Mompé Tujetsch 1390 m (0.50 h) - Segnas 1331m (0.25 h) - Peisel - Glaretsch 1300m (0.10 h) - Acletta1289m (0.10 h) - Bahnhof Disentis 1130m (0.25 h). Total 6 hours, 350 m up, 1000 meters down.

I suggest we have picnic after about 2,5 to 3 hours hike

The plan is to take the 7.31 am train in zurich hb, arrival goschenen 9.01 am, departure 9.12. am goschenen, arrival andermatt 9.22 am, departure 9.27 am arrival oberalppas 9.47 am. We would take the train back at 16.44 (arrival zurich 19.22) or 17.44 (arrival zurich 20.22)

To bring along:

# smile, good mood, laughter

# suncream

# sturdy shoes

# raingear (we are in the mountains and weather can change anytime)

# picnic, snacks, water etc.

Sorry for the small detour upwards- otherwise I believe we got great weather. In order for Ivan not be travelling alone home, I took 16.16 train back. Hope to see everyone soon and hopefully the weather stays like this.

Lorena and others, we typically meet under the big weird angel next to the ticket counter in zurich HB. Approx. 10 to 15 minutes before departure of the train we will move towards the platform of the train. Normally I make reservations with SBB for our group, but given that they need at least 3 working days beforehand, there will not be dedicated spaces for our group.
