Ice Skating at Dolder

Join us for a fun and friendly ice skating evening at the Dolder Ice Rink!

This is the largest artificial open area for skating in Europe, located on the top of Dolderberg, a charming green area overseeing Zurich. We are doing it as a regular event, meeting every Thursday until the end of the skating season (please still check Meetup each week to see if the event is running).

The meeting point is in the skate rental/changing area at 19.30.

Those using public transports can take the 19.10 Dolderbahn funicular train from the station in Römerhof (tram lines: 3, 8 and 15) and get off at the last station.

If you come later, you will find us skating on the ice! Call or text me on[masked] to locate us.

Beginners are welcome, we'll help you with your first moves on the ice, and you can progress by skating with us every week.

The event could be cancelled in case of bad weather: an update will be posted on Meetup by 16.00 on the day of the event.

Entry costs 8 Sfr, the skates rental is 7 Sfr. For more details, see the official website of the venue:

Dry weather is expected for tonight. A bit chilly, but we'll keep warm with our skating exercise.
    See you all at Dolder!

I'd really like to come but is here anyone who'd like to borrow me skating shoes or does anyone know where I could buy some cheap ones?

      Hi Therese,
it's possible to rent the skates at Dolder, price is 7 CHF.
If you want to buy shoes for a good price watch out for sale offers in the sport shops.
