Ice Skating at Dolder

  • Dolder Kunsteisbahn

    Adlisbergstrasse 36, Zürich (map)

    47.375610 8.576740

  • Join us for a fun and friendly ice skating evening at the Dolder Ice Rink!

This is the largest artificial open area for skating in Europe, located on the top of Dolderberg, a charming green area overseeing Zurich. We are doing it as a regular event, meeting every Thursday until the end of the skating season (please still check Meetup each week to see if the event is running).

The meeting point is in the skate rental/changing area at 19.30.

Those using public transports can take the 19.10 Dolderbahn funicular train from the station in Römerhof (tram lines: 3, 8 and 15) and get off at the last station.

If you come later, you will find us skating on the ice!

Beginners are welcome, we'll help you with your first moves on the ice, and you can progress by skating with us every week.

The event could be cancelled in case of bad weather: an update will be posted on Meetup by 16.00 on the day of the event.

Entry costs 8 Sfr, the skates rental is 7 Sfr. For more details, see the official website of the venue:

No RSVPs. Is there some holiday today?

The rain is now forecast to start earlier. I'll cancel the event unless I see an RSVP in the next few hours.

The weather report looks good so far. There might be a little rain after 9pm. I'll check again Thursday afternoon.

I will try to come but I am quite bad (and beginners day was cancelled). I have hockey skates because I really hate figure skates :)

I wear hockey skates too! I find them more comfortable. I do not consider myself a good teacher, but I'll be happy to help as best I can. We often see Jonah there. He's an excellent skater who is happy to instruct.
