Dear all,Thank you for your patience on this weekend's hiking plan. The response and interest has been simply enormous and we are now up to 21 people! After a survey of all weather forecasts for switzerland, the prospects of rain have gone down on Sunday. So we stick with the original planWhen? We will meet at 9.45am, Sunday May 13, at the main train station just outside the ticket counters. Please be on time so we can purchase group tickets. If you are late, you will pay individual fare, and may miss the train. We will take the train from Zurich to Arth-Goldau at 10.09am then take a cable car and finally walk up. A good description is here:http://activityworkshop.net/hiking/switzerland/rigi.htmland a map here:The hike will be about 3-4 hours, depending on how much we relax. Most of it is easy or downhill, with the last section uphill - and well worth it!Living Outside Zurich? If you are coming from outside Zurich, you might find a train direct to Arth-Goldau. Please check schedules on www.sbb.ch. We arrive from Zurich at 10.48am.What to BringPlease bring the following (at a minimum):1. Packed lunch2. Water3. Good hiking boots or sport shoes4. Waterproof jacketCan someone please bring a camera?Reminder on TimeI cannot emphasize this enough - please be on time. Remember, swiss trains leave as scheduled, as will we :-) Also, prepare your mind for the occasional cloud. If you are not attending, please update your RSVP (and if you can attend, please RSVP yes).Weather notwithstanding, this looks to be a great weekend for Rigi. Considering the response I have received from you all, everyone is very enthusiastic. Thanks are particularly due to Raphael for "insider" weather updates and help, and Dan for some good alternative suggestions - which we will take up another weekend.Apologies for the late update - the morning has been somewhat busy for me. If you have any questions, my number is[masked] 2381.See you sunday,
