I've seen much great enthusiasm of people trying to group a bunch of people and organize a hike together, which I find it totally great! For obvious reasons, the Meetup Email Address ([address removed])?is being used for that purpose, however that?might bother?other members not intended or interested in these emails.?I have decided to straighten once and for all this traffic, and hence would like to present the following proposal:
i.-?All members who want to organize an?outdoor event related to the Hiking&Outdoor Z?rich Meetup Group?shall request per email to the Organizer (yes..that is me :) )?a petition to be assigned "Assistant Organizer", where?they will have access to the necessary tools to organize an event?most effectively. Being the "Assistant Organizer" will not be in any case subject to participate in any cost or responsibilities?concerning the maintenance of the website, but donations are very much welcomed :)?
My email can be found under my profile?on the Hiking&Outdoor Z?rich?Meetup?Website.
ii.- If, for any reason, the member who wants to organize an event does not want to be assigned "Assistant Organizer", he/she can use the?Address [address removed] with the following conditions:
?????????? a) The message shall be directed to the general Meetup Group community only?and shall not be directed to an individual or subset of the community.
?????????? b) The emitter of the email?has to put the contact information and request that?any replies shall be directed only to the Assistant Organizer?using this contact information.
All emails submitted with the mentioned address?will be subject?for revision by the Organizer (yes...that is me again :) ) before being effectively being sent. Hence some delay might?ocurre.
iii.- The part of the "Discussions" on the Meetup Site?shall not be used for planning events, since no one actually reads them anyway.???
