HIKE: St. Gallen Bridge Trail

St. Gallen has more bridges than most other cities in Switzerland and The Bridge Trail leads from the St.Gallen-Haggen Station over 18 bridges.

This great hike will take place on the weekend before Ramadan starts and will be your last chance to get some fresh air and go for a long stroll before the long fasts of Ramadan start, inshallah.

The walk is 7.5 kilometre (not very long!) and starts at the train station in St. Gallen-Haggen and goes to Spisegg. The trail runs past eighteen viaducts, wooden and concrete bridges and suspension bridges and through the river landscape in the Sitter- und Wattbachlandschaft nature reserve.

This walk is an easy hike and is suitable for children who are 6 and over and also for families with children in prams.

Timetable

09:50 – meet at Zurich HB under the Blue Angel
10:09 – take Pl. 11 train to St. Gallen
11:15 – take Pl. 2 train to Haggen
11:23 – arrive at Haggen Bahnhof
11:30 – 15:30: hike (3 hrs + 1 hour stop for lunch)

Hello is there a specific place in St Gallen station that I should meet the group? It will be my first time there so I am not exactly sure how big it is. To be safe, is there a number I can call in case I cannot find everyone?
