Traders are meeting up again! (welcome.!)

Dear Traders,

Momentum is important in trading and so it is in life.. so to take advantage of it and as we had our first meetup already, I am now, as promised, trying to organize periodic meetups so that the group can develop further and more members have the chance to join in.

I look forward to seeing you then in our 2nd meetup as once a trader..always a trader!

Kind Regards,
Esteve Vilardell

We had our second meetup yesterday and again we enjoyed while exchanging experiences and thoughts about trading and common interests.

I really enjoyed the discussions and atmosphere.

I would schedule our next meetup so that we continue progressing and bringing in more people each time.

    See you soon!

    Hello Jonathan.

Thank you for the comment, appreciate it!, the idea is to work together/prepare an agenda of topics to discuss/talk about in our meetups so that we take the most of our time. I am sure between all of us, we'll be able to bring up always exciting topics and learn more while enjoying them!

Hope to see you in our next meetup (in about 5-6 weeks from now). Good luck with your meeting and see ya!

    Guys,

Sorry for the late note but I won't be able to join finally. I have a late meeting in the office that day that I cannot skip.

I love the topics that Esteve has prepared for the meetings, hopefully I will be able to attend it next time.

    Best regards,
    Jonathan

    13. Forex versus traditional securities / commodities? Why the forex traders are so keen on it? Is it better? Better results? Does it trend better? Can technical analysis be better applied to Forex?

    14. Performance. What's your performance over the years? Do you do 'trading' for a living? Do you aspire to do it for a living, full time? Or what would you say the ratio or percentage of traders is.. of the traders that can actually live purely from trading? 1%? 5%? How feasible is it?

    15. Open questions / topics.

I wish you all a happy 'trading talking'. We'll have fun (main target) and we'll make friends along the process.

    See you on Thursday.

    5. Trading the "news" (good or bad idea) ? How did it work out for you?

    6. Volatility? Controlling it? Fighting it? How do you deal with it? how do you insurance against it? Does you trading have 'volatility' in mind?

    7. What's better (better performance in your experience)? Naked securities trading? or using options or even spreads to trade them? As you evolve in trading, do you trend to use these tools (options & spreads) or you still focus on trading the naked security, instead?

    8. Federal Reserve Policy? How does it affect the crude oil, gold, interest rates and other interesting commodities? How are they correlated and to which level? Do you trade 'pairs'? -correlated securities-

    9. Hedging? How do you hedge? What's your experience? Do you use hedging as part of your trading approach?

    10. Options. Options spread. Options strategies
    11. Futures spreads. Speed of reaction? Calendar spreads versus inter-commodity spreads?

    12. Investment strategies. Long-term investors

    Dear Traders,

In preparation for our second meetup see below a small agenda with some basic points for discussion (something like an Agenda) to give us some starting discussion points during our meetup.

Additionally, for the new guys attending, if you have any issue or you just do not find us, here is my cell number to reach me:

    [masked]

And an initial agenda that I came up with is the following:

    1. Price Action Trading with or without volume? Do you follow Volume so much? And if so, do you use combined volume / Open interest analysis?

    2. Does "Open Interest" give you an advantage as a better understanding of what's going on?

    3. How do you detect / trade with the 'big guys'? How do you recognize where the institutional traders come in to the game?

    4. Risk-Reward ratio and strategies? What is your experience / practise / approach to it?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
