Einsiedeln :: Christmas Market

Hey Everyone,

So let's start our Christmas Market surfing for this year, with Einsiedeln's. =)

Please read the trip description below in detail, and if you have any questions you can contact me [Ahoo].

Description from the website:

More information is available here on the website

We will meet at 11:00 at the main station, and take the IR 1769 to Wädenswil at 11:12 on platform 8. There we will be taking the S13 train to Einsiedeln on platform 1. We will arrive there some time around 11:57 [not a very long trip this one], and will have the rest of the day to explore the market, and certainly explore the beautiful town itself some more.

IMPORTANT: Please be on time, and have your train tickets ready before we need to board the train. Also, as always, I am not entirely certain exactly what we may find there, so please make sure to bring yourself whatever you believe you might need. That includes water, food, snacks, warm clothing, comfortable shoes, eye-wear and so on.

IMPORTANT: Please RSVP if you intend to join, and if later you decide to drop out please do change your RSVP!

Cheers,

A+

For the history buffs the abbey church of Einsiedeln was completed in 1750. So the paintwork was really made to last...

You mean the paintwork we were "not" supposed to photograph? =P

Could you please tell me when you approximately plane to come back to Zurich?

    November 27, 2013

    • Ahoo

Hey there, we usually don't set a return time as we would like to explore as much as we can manage and we're not familiar with the vicinity. The way it usually works is that we walk around the whole day, and people just go back to train station when they get tired.

      Cheers!

We´ll meet you at the train station in Einsiedeln around 11:57ish

      Hey Nastya,

Usually when we plan our little trips, we take the whole day as we want to see as much as we can from the town itself and the surroundings too. Einsiedeln is a beautiful town. As the event description suggests, we're not planning on just seeing the market and walking out. ;)

      Cheers!
