Russian and Polish Language Exchange

Hi, here is another brand-new option to practise your foreign languages. We will meet for the first time to practice Russian and Polish

Might look like an exotic mix, but why not?:)

We will meet at Starbucks as usual and split into groups of 4-6 people. We will try to have a good speaker of the language or a native in every group. And we will simply talk and try to improve our languages also by listening to others, getting advice and corrections, asking questions. Irina, one of the event organizers, will bring some materials like board games, books, and magazines in Russian. If someone can bring some Polish materials or magazines, please do so! Anyone is welcome to bring anything that can be of good use to practise conversation.

If you are a native speaker and wish to help out, that would be awesome. Helping to study a language is a great pleasure, too.

Please make sure to RSVP if you intend to come and cancel RSVP if you suddenly can’t so we can see how many people will be actually there which helps us with the organization of things. Thanks!

If you have any questions feel free to contact the organizers or event hosts.

See you soon!

Irina and Lukas

Just found a nice tongue-twister in Russian:) it might be quite challenging but useful to practice tricky Russian pronunciation:
    Скороговорун скороговорил - скоровыговаривал,
    Что всех скороговорок не перескороговоришь,
но заскороговорившись, выскороговорил, что все скороговорки перескороговоришь, да не перескоровыговариваешь.
И прыгают скороговорки, как караси на сковородке.
    :)

Thanks for your comments Anvarzhon (Johnny). Please make sure you RSVP even if you come spontaneously. We will have to verify if attendees did indeed RSVP for the event.

Agree - just a great idea! I will be happy to come to help with Russian. Will be happy to meet new people.

Noble idea. I would gladly offer help with Russian and learn some Polish. The only thing I am aiming to be at German Stammtisch every Thursday I can. So, I would rather appear unexpectedly one day if I fail going to Fork & Bottle ;)
