Asian Languages Meetup [Experimental]

Hi Everyone,

With all the requests I've been receiving for various Asian languages, it's time we organized an Asian languages meetup. =)

I would like to thank everyone who emailed me back about the event, and sorry that I haven't been able to write back to you all personally. The sheer number of emails I have received have made that impossible. So we figured it would be best if we announce the event, and then our interested members can simply meet in person and figure things out from there.

Though I'm personally not going to be present at this event, Lukas has kindly offered to host the event. Please let him know of your interests. Also, if you'd like to help in the future with co-hosting and organizing the events, please speak to either Lukas or myself about this.

Most of the emails I have received, have mentioned Korean, Chinese and Japanese. However there has been mention of other Asian languages too. All Asian languages, and all levels, are welcome at this event. If you're interested in teaching or learning a specific language, you'd simply have to find others with relevant interests at the event. Lukas will be able to help you with this too. =)

Please note: An RSVP / being on the attendance list is required for attending this event. If you are going to cancel your attendance, please do so early as possible to allow others to use the spot.

Cheers,

A+

I cancelled my participation for Wednesday 23.4 because I noticed that this semester, I can not on Wednesdays evening at all. So I let the place for other people. In principle, I am still motivated for Chinese with native speakers on other weekdays.

I'll come, hoping to speak some Chinese and Thai there, and I'm also bringing a friend from Japan with me.

Great! There will certainly be a Chinese table. Also there will probably be a table to mingle with other people to find some with similar interests.

Hey everyone, please note that the location is in fact NOT Central. It's the Starbucks near Sihlquai/HB.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
