For the first time in recorded history, a Groupon has actually worked to benefit a business! That might be a slight exaggeration, but the only reason Katie and I went to this place in the first place is because she bought a Groupon, and then asked me to set up an event for it after the fact. Well, not only did that event pull in hundreds of dollars for the place, but I actually want to go again, and I’m willing to pay full price for it. Yes, Jim S paying full price for something, what the heck’s going on here? But it was, as many can be quoted as saying or writing, “fun as hell,” and most people who went last time begged me to set up another one, and those who weren’t able to go the first time nagged me even more. The public demands it!
Here’s the plan this time around: we should all show up no latter than 12:45 to buy our timeslots (which only work in half hour increments), and be ready to jump as a group at 1PM. Because it’s only a little bit more money for the extra half hour, I think I’ll buy the 1-2:30PM time slot and take a few more breaks. You are, of course, free to come and go and buy any time slot you want, but I hope you’ll join me for the group jump.
Last time started rough, but we soon ended up with not one, but two private dodge ball rooms, one for official games and one for practice. In addition, there is a huge room just for jumping, a foam pit, bounce basketball, and more. (Actually, I think that’s it.)
Poker Saturday followed by a bouncy Sunday afternoon…another awesome weekend to look forward to!
There will be an option of going out afterward as a group for lunch, but I’m not yet sure where that should be. Although I was very disappointed by the fact that the “alligator” restaurant we went to last time was farther away than promised and hardly had any food left, including alligator, it was at that place that we finally figured out where our wedding and reception would be held, so it has some pretty awesome memories after all. Want to know a secret? I love meetup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
