FREE Pick-up Sand Volleyball!

This is going to be a repeating event throughout the summer (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays) weather permitting, show up when you can after you get off from work!

This is a FREE event and all skill levels are encouraged!  Depending on the turn-out we may play on both courts, with one court reserved for more advanced players.  We will play as long as there are enough people and a desire to continue playing :).

Please don't forget to bring some water for yourselves!  See you on the courts!

If something comes up and you can't make it, please try to remember to change your RSVP.

Dylan, my opinion is that it's fun to have a time for both through the night. I personally enjoy playing with both groups but it can be hard to switch between them if there's no official team mixing going on.

Starting with a beginners and an advanced courts makes sense to me because when new players show up they have a definite place to go and can learn some basic rules and techniques before things get too serious. It cuts down the intimidation factor a bit.

Do most people prefer to have one court reserved for more advanced players, or just mix it up?

If you are tempted to call a playing fault, please wait until the rally is finished. It's hard enough to keep a rally going with mixed skill levels. Also, the official rules are much less strict than the many incorrect rules I've been told. This is from official refereeing guidelines "In accordance with the spirit of international competitions and to encourage longer rallies and spectacular actions, only the most obvious violations will be whistled."
